Who I supply

Six kinds of business. Same van, different load.

This is not a catalogue. It is what actually runs out in a place like yours over a week. If your business is not one of the six, call me anyway: most places are close to one of them, and we walk through the rest together.

01Restaurant

What I supply to restaurants in Szeged

Two shifts and a sink that never empties: the sponge is finished by Friday, the scouring pad wears flat, and grease slows everything down more than anyone plans for.

What I usually bring here

  • Dense washing-up sponge for a commercial kitchen, not the soft household kindCleaning supplies
  • Scouring pad for greasy pans and roasting traysCleaning supplies
  • Metal scourer for stainless steel onlyCleaning supplies
  • Colour-coded microfibre cloths, kitchen and counter kept apartCleaning supplies
  • Greaseproof paper and stretch film for prepPackaging
  • Takeaway boxes and heavy-duty bin linersPackaging

From experience

A metal scourer ruins a coated pan in a single use: grease gets in under the scratch, and from then on everything burns onto it. So I bring both — metal scourers for stainless trays, a dense sponge and a soft pad for coated pans — and I ask that they be kept on separate shelves. Mid-shift nobody reads which is which, but everyone remembers where it lives.

02Café, patisserie

What I supply to cafés and patisseries

The counter gets dirty by the hour — milk, syrup, coffee grounds — and the customer watches you wipe it, so here it matters what the cleaning looks like, not only that it happened.

What I usually bring here

  • Microfibre counter cloth in a colour of its ownCleaning supplies
  • Glass and display-cabinet cloth that leaves no streaksCleaning supplies
  • Hand towel rolls for behind the counter and the washroomCleaning supplies
  • Paper cups and lids in two sizes for takeawayPackaging
  • Paper straws for cold drinksPackaging
  • Bags and boxes for cakesPackaging

From experience

The counter cloth and the kitchen cloth should never be the same colour. This is not about looks: on a busy afternoon the same hand reaches for both, and if they look alike, the cloth that wiped under the sink is next to a guest's cup half a minute later. Two colours, two shelves, no extra cost — and it is the first thing an inspector looks at.

03Pizzeria, takeaway

What I supply to pizzerias and takeaway kitchens

It starts at six and everything is gone by nine: boxes run out faster than anything else, and one shift of flour and grease is enough to coat the prep counter.

What I usually bring here

  • Pizza boxes in several sizes, unbleached boardPackaging
  • Greaseproof liners and sheetsPackaging
  • Takeaway trays with lids, sauce sachetsPackaging
  • Carrier bags for the driver and the collection counterPackaging
  • Dense sponge and scouring pad for the traysCleaning supplies
  • Industrial paper roll for the prep counterCleaning supplies

From experience

Buy the box to fit the pizza, not the other way round. A 30 cm pizza in a 32 cm box slides on the way, and the cheese arrives on the wall of the box — the customer calls that a complaint, not bad luck. If you bake two sizes you need two boxes; the "it'll fit" size costs more over a year than the storage space it saves.

04Small shop, grocer

What I supply to small shops and grocers

A mop before opening, then dust, mud and crumbs under the chilled units all day — and something has to go into the customer's hand as well.

What I usually bring here

  • Roll bags for the produce and bakery counterPackaging
  • Carrier bags with handles in two sizesPackaging
  • Bin liners for the stockroom and behind the tillPackaging
  • Mop head and handle, with spare headsCleaning supplies
  • All-purpose cloths for counters and chillersCleaning supplies
  • Hand towels and toilet paper for the washroomCleaning supplies

From experience

With produce roll bags the price is not what decides it — whether the customer can open one in a single movement is. Film that is too thin sticks to itself: they tear off two, throw the second away, and the queue stops at the till. A roll one grade heavier means fewer bags used, and that is worth counting through once over a month.

05Office

What I supply to offices in Szeged

One clean a day, in the evening: dust is the same everywhere, but there are really only two problem spots — the tea kitchen and the washroom.

What I usually bring here

  • Microfibre cloths for desks and around the screensCleaning supplies
  • One type of cloth for the washroom, a different one for the tea kitchenCleaning supplies
  • Mop head and handle for corridors and meeting roomsCleaning supplies
  • Hand towel rolls and toilet paperCleaning supplies
  • Bin liners for desk bins and the kitchen binPackaging
  • Disposable cups for the water coolerPackaging

From experience

The washroom and the tea kitchen should get a different type of cloth, not just a different colour. An office is usually cleaned by one person with one trolley, in the evening, in a hurry: with two identical cloths in hand, sooner or later the same one wipes the basin and the base of the coffee machine. If the two feel different, that simply cannot happen.

06Cleaning company

What I supply to cleaning companies

Not one site but ten, with the stockroom in the back of a van: here the question is not the product, it is the pack size and when it arrives.

What I usually bring here

  • Colour-coded microfibre cloths in bulk packsCleaning supplies
  • Mop heads and handles, with spare heads supplied separatelyCleaning supplies
  • Scouring pads and metal scourers in mixed packsCleaning supplies
  • Industrial paper rolls in case quantitiesCleaning supplies
  • Bin liners in several sizes and gaugesPackaging
  • Disposable gloves and stretch film for the vanPackaging

From experience

A colour code is only worth something if it never changes. Staff turn over in a cleaning company, and the new person does not learn the stock list, they learn that red belongs to the washroom. That is why I ask for the list in advance and deliver on a schedule from the same batch: one month with a different shade and the system falls apart straight away. Fixed price, an agreed rhythm — you can plan a shift around that.
